300 g. uncooked Shrimp or Prawns peeled and cleaned
1/2 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon MSG
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
2 tablespoons water
300 g. sesame seeds
18 pieces White Bread
Blend the first 6 ingredients together in a food processor. Add half the water to begin with, you are looking to make a smooth paste, add more water if needed. Spread a thin layer of paste on the top of each piece of bread, enough that the sesame seeds will stick to the bread. Pour the sesame seeds into a shallow pan so you can dip the bread, paste side down, into the seeds to cover the paste. Cut the bread into 2 triangles.
Prepare a large fry pan by filling with enough oil for the pieces to be able to float and deep fry. Bring the oil to 180 c.
Place the fried prawn toast on a plate lined with paper towel to absorb excess oil. They taste great served with sweet and sour or sweet chili dipping sauce.
