460 grams white beans, rinsed
2 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/ 3 cup olive oil
1/ 4 cup fresh parsley or oregano
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. white pepper

6-8 pieces of pita or flat bread

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees c.
Place the beans, garlic, lemon juice, 1/ 3 cup olive oil, salt, pepper
and herbs in the food processor. Pulse until the mixture is finely
blended. Transfer the bean puree to a small bowl.
Brush both sides of each pita or flat bread with olive oil. Cut the bread
into chip size pieces and arrange on a large baking sheet. Sprinkle with
the, salt, pepper, garlic powder. Bake around 8 minutes, or until
toasted and golden in color. Serve the pita toasts warm or at room
temperature alongside the bean puree.
